Gone.
Four hundred years ago, they weren't thinking about sinking foundations, sub-sea-level buildings, or even how to bury the dead when they founded the port of New Orleans.
If they decide to rebuild the city at all, they may have to rebuild it elsewhere.
Like further up-river, where it can still be a port, but where it's actually above the ocean.
