It's a Lovely November Saturday...
Nov. 12th, 2005 09:54 am...so I must have raked the yard.
Got the whole thing done in just over three hours. Removing the thatched carpet of pine needles last week was probably the key.
I also feel significantly less kicked than I did last week.
When I started, I actually deigned to put on a sweater (it was 34F). But both the weather and I warmed up, so the sweater only had to work for the first half-hour.
The maples are now done.
The birches and lindens are mostly done.
The oaks dropped the most since last Saturday, but they also have the most left on the branches. But oaks are macho idiots, and will probably try to hang onto the rest of their brown leaves until spring. They'll fail, of course, but I can point at the leaves on top of the snow and say: "See! Those weren't there when I last raked!"
Knee is okay, but wrist is complaining.
