Life and All That
Apr. 22nd, 2007 04:03 pmFriday, work was better than it has been of late, and then I drove out to Brattleboro VT to get the kids. They'd been vacationing with my parents, who are still unpacking all their worldly possessions in their new (and, they insist, final) house.
Gorgeous house. It's up on "Summit Circle", which was one of the last undeveloped areas inside Brattleboro "city" limits. (Yes, it's legally a city. 12,000 people, but a city on paper.) It's in some pretty deep woods on a hill that would overlook the city and the Connecticut River if you could see out of the forest.
I looked up the radio stations that carry Red Sox games so that I could follow the game against the Yankees all the way there, but gorgeous cloudless skies meant that the skip was working against me, and I managed to miss some middle innings before I got close enough to pick up the Brattleboro station WKVT.
Anyway, I rescued my parents from my hellions, and got them back here well in time for their Tae Kwon Do belt tests. Both passed. For me, the test was long and boring, but at least I got some reading done.

keyne's party for jacflash. Oh well.
Today, just lounging about. Went outside with the younger to throw a baseball around. She's getting better, but when a "pop-up" bounced off her glove and smacked her in the forehead, she decided that it was time to come in again.
catya just showed up to take away our old dining room table (we having picked up my parents' old one, which is now our new one). Now we have to move our new one into place. Wish us luck.
