Saturday Sysadmin
Aug. 4th, 2007 09:56 pmThis morning,
alyveritya told me that her computer was "acting weird".
Sure enough, starting Firefox got us nothing but a blank window, a process named "firefox.exe" which was using 0.0% CPU, and no internet activity whatsoever.
Six hours, eleven reboots, approximately 130 updates, and a re-install of Firefox later (but no change to the firewall), my elder has a working computer again.
The whole family celebrated by watching this season's first four episodes of "Eureka".
