Red Sox 4, Rockies 3
Oct. 29th, 2007 12:10 amPapelbon came in, and ended it. The Red Sox win again!
This is great! Of course, it isn't the drought-breaker that 2004 was, but it was a better World Series for all that: the Cardinals never held a lead over us then, and played so pathetically that St. Louis fans apologized to Boston fans for the lame play.
The Colorado Rockies have nothing to apologize for. They played well, persistently, and even the games with lopsided final scores had tense middles. Not only that, the Rockies are a very young team; they'll be back.
Mike Lowell was great; if he doesn't get the Series MVP, I'll be stunned.
[EDIT:] Lowell got it! Justice is served!
Woohoo!
