Mar. 1st, 2008 11:25 pmI only needed two hours to clear the driveway today, but the big problem was the woodshed: the door has been iced in place for a couple of weeks now.
I managed to excavate an honest-to-Murgatroyd spade from the garage, and used the pointed blade to chip away enough ice from the door so that it could be opened wide enough to shove a daughter thru it. So I did. With another daughter on the outside of the shed to load the sledge, they managed to refill the woodring in the garage, and we have a wood fire warming the house again! Victory!
