She Joined the Circus
Jul. 12th, 2008 01:55 pmI took yesterday off from work to go watch my younger daughter in Circus Smirkus! The circus camp was up in Craftsbury Common, VT, where (believe me) your cell phone gets no bars.

The distance being appreciable, we took my little Yaris to go retrieve her. But first, a show! All campers would appear in three sketches; being a first-year, one of her sketches was being the brace of a human pyramid. But she also go to flip herself upside-down on a trapeze, and her most featured number was called "the web" (or possibly "web-line").
tamidon got a pair of good pictures and posted them publicly. The second shot is accurate, as she was spinning fast enough to be nothing but a blur.
My parents made their way up from Brattleboro (the southeast corner of Vermont) for the show, and were also quite impressed. Afterward, we ate at a family restaurant in St. Johnsbury (the capital of the Northeast Kingdom, where I-91 and I-93 meet), and then came the long drive home. I had to get coffee along with gasoline in Franconia Notch NH, so I was awake way too late last night.
Today seems like Sunday. But it's not. I'll take the girls to see Wall-E along with some friends of ours, and tomorrow I bring
alyveritya up to her camp in Bethel ME.
Yes, I'm doing a lot of driving this weekend.
