Every Dozen Years or So
Apr. 3rd, 2007 02:30 pmFor the first time in far too long, I went and had a physical this morning. 8am, to be precise. To do this, I had to drop the kids off at school for "Early Care" (as opposed to "After-Care"). Unfortunately, "Early Care" wasn't as early as I had assumed. Fortunately, the school super (and all-around swell guy) had just shown up with his daughter, so my kids got to get into the building anyway. Unfortunately, nobody bothered to tell the central office this, so they called me up to chew me out. I acknowledged the misunderstanding was mine.
But anyway, I went to my physical. ( Cut for length and potential TMI )
I also got my anti-tetanus/pertussis/diphtheria shot. It was less of a deal than any of the four shots I get every month for my allergies.
So that's about it. Thanks to a family history which includes (successful removal of) skin cancer, I get to make annual appointments to have my skin checked out. And for some reason, he wants me to see a dentist again, despite my having seen one in 1994.
