For the first time ever, I have voted for a presidential candidate who will likely win. I feel... subverted. Subsumed. But the Libertarians nominated Bob Barr, whom I will never vote for.

I did not vote in the Senate race. Kerry is a hamster, the Republican is a CIA mole (literally), and the Libertarian is an anti-immigrant nutball with many grammatical errors on his website.

I also didn't vote in any race where there wasn't more than one candidate listed.

I voted for a Democrat in one state legislature race, and a Republican in the other. I would have voted Republican in both, but one of them endorsed an anonymous attack campaign, and I can't reward that even to undercut the mandate of the eventual winner. The other Republican, the one I could vote for, never attacked his opponent, never tried to blame "immigrants" or "gay marriage", but focused on keeping the state budget sensible; the Democrat focused on "bringing home the bacon", increasing our district's Aid for Cities and Towns, otherwise known as "bugger your rejection of our Prop. 2 1/2 overrides, we're spending the money anyway". The Democrat will probably win.

That said, I voted for the Prop. 2 1/2 override on the ballot, to build a police station in our town. Currently, they're operating out of a trailer which gets cold in the winter.

I voted for Question #1 and Question #2, and against Question #3. Civil disagreements over this are welcome in the comments, but I reserve the right to delete froth-filled diatribes from my space here. If I delete your well-reasoned froth-filled diatribe, it does not mean that I don't like you. Similarly, I respect your right to delete my well-reasoned responses in your own journal.
