alyveritya's school, it is also Parent-Teacher Conference weekend.
Which we parents knew. After all, we've signed up for conferences.
The teachers will be tied up with parents all afternoon. We knew that, too.
But somehow, it never penetrated our thick skulls that this meant that she'd be released early for the weekend, and that one of us had to pick her up.
I got the phone call half an hour ago. From my stranded little girl, wondering where her ride was.
tamidon is up to her elbows in some professional kitchen stuff, and really can't be interrupted.
Ah well, I had vacation to burn anyway. And my deadlines aren't on fire. Yet.
